Supporting Individuals’ Mental Health
In any given year, 1 in 5 people in Canada will personally experience a mental health problem or illness. In 2011, over 20% of the Canadian working population experienced some form of mental illness, and approximately 30% of short and long-term disability claims were attributed to mental health. The promotion of mental health awareness in the workplace benefits all employees.
